Violence Transformed 2016

Violence Transformed 2016 is here and I'm delighted that my paintings were selected for two of their exhibits. "Life Matters" will be in the "Future of the Past: Black Lives Matter” exhibit at the Marran Gallery at Lesley University, 34 Mellon Street, Cambridge, Ma from March 7 - April 5 and "Searching For Home" will be in the "Violence Transformed: The Artist’s Voice” exhibit, March 4 - April 20 at the Harriet Tubman Gallery, 566 Columbus Ave. Boston, Ma. Below is "Searching For Home", my painting about the refugees. I don't know if you can see it in the photo but the footsteps are bloodied.

Going Public

Public Art has always called out to me. And now, a terrific opportunity has opened. I will be in charge of Public Art for the National Association of Women Artists (NAWA). NAWA is a fabulous organization, actually the first organization, dedicated to promoting women artists. Hopefully, I’ll be able to create many Public Art opportunities for the amazing artists in NAWA.
