FREEDOM Lives On

Taking the train tomorrow to Boston to drop off my painting FREEDOM at the The Massachusetts Ave Gallery of Cambridge College. It's being featured in The Artist's Voice exhibit. The show runs from March 23 – April 12, 2014. For anyone in the area the reception is Saturday, March 29, 4 – 8 PM and the address is 1000 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA.

This painting is based on the October 26, 2013 event by Saudi Arabian women protesting the ban on women driving.

Violence Transformed 2014

The annual Violence Transformed event is here again. It's one of my favorite art events for I truly believe in the transformative possibilities of art. Very happy that 4 of my paintings are included in the Violence Transformed 2014 traveling digital exhibit which runs from March 11th to the end of August. The exhibit will be shown at the Massachusetts State House, the Harriet Tubman House, Resnikoff Gallery and the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists. You can check out their website www.violencetransformed.com to learn more.

Below is one of the paintings included, my anti-war painting "The Pawns Are Bleeding - Even The Queen."
